Without the Municipal Theatre, but more multi-disciplinary than ever<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Due to Girona Municipal Theatre\u2019s closure for refurbishment we lose our most emblematic exhibition space. But this does not stop us, nor does it affect the public\u2019s loyalty, quite the opposite. For the first time we undertake the production of three shows. Dance, circus and drama come together once again to offer an event with many prominent names: Pascal Comelade, Sol Pic\u00f3, Mal Pelo and Gilles Bouillon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Poster\u00a02001, Perejaume<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Combining literary and visual practices, Perejaume uses painting, photography, sculpture, video, scenographies and literature in his creations, all with his very own personal language, giving everyday relationships totally unimaginable meanings. His entire career is imbued with words, images, tradition and avant-garde, from his first exhibition in 1977 at the Cercle de Sant Lluc to his Obreda book of poetry.
His individual redefinition of the landscape leads him through a cartography full of cuttings, fragments of other paintings, brushstrokes and, above all, the use of objects reinserted into new spaces, generating a chain of new meanings and forms.
In this Festival poster, Perejaume re-enters the world of the spectacle, which has been a constant point of reference in all his work since his beginnings (we just have to recall his work at the Municipal Theatre of Girona in 1997 and at the Gran Teatre del Liceu). For the occasion, we have a seat cut out of a furniture magazine with the material and forceful brushstroke of an artist who invites the audience to sit down and enjoy the play while depicting them as part of the spectacle at the same time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
