We have presented the 28th edition of Temporada Alta today. In total, we have announced 96 shows and 223 functions which include international programming (27), Catalan authors (56) and contemporary productions (30).<\/strong> All types of audiences have been borne in mind to enable everyone to find the show they\u2019re looking for, we\u2019ve presented proposals from different genres and disciplines: including drama, music, family shows, circus, dance, films etc.<\/p>\n

On the 11th October we inaugurate the Festival with\u00a0Measure for Measure<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0from the\u00a0Royal Shakespeare Company<\/strong>; it is one of Shakespeare\u2019s darkest pieces and yet, at the same time one of the most current ones.<\/p>\n

In this new edition, Temporada Alta continues to support Catalan talent with\u00a0shows by renowned artists and playwrights such as: Joan Oll\u00e9<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>\u00c0lex Rigola<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Rosa Maria Sard\u00e0<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Cl\u00e0udia Ced\u00f3<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Jordi Oriol<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0Lola Rosales, Berta Prieto<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Ll\u00e0tzer Garcia<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Cristina Clemente<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/strong>Marta Gal\u00e1n<\/strong><\/a>. We also maintain a major international programme with some of the world\u2019s great stage names such as: Alessandro Serra<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Thomas Ostermeier<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>TG Stan,<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>Tiago Rodr\u00edgues\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>and\u00a0Oskaras Korsunovas<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

We continue to support the programming of contemporary creation proposals, most of which can be seen during the Programmers\u2019 Week<\/strong>. Throughout the Festival, leading names in contemporary art will visit us from home and abroad, such as:\u00a0Ang\u00e9lica Liddell<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>\u00c0lex Rigola<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Cabosanroque<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Roser L\u00f3pez Espinosa<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<\/strong>Pere Faura<\/strong><\/a>. We are also committed to outstanding names in our music programme, including artists such as\u00a0Amaia<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Jane Birkin<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Omara Portuondo<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>Joan Daus\u00e0<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0<\/strong>El Petit de Cal Eril<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and <\/strong>Judit Neddermann<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This year we also present various coproductions such as\u00a0La mort i la Primavera<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, directed by Joan Oll\u00e9,\u00a0GRRRLS!!!<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0by Carlota Subir\u00f3s,\u00a0Red Room<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0by Sol Pic\u00f3 and Susana Barranco,\u00a0CredoinunsolODIO<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0directed by Rosa Sard\u00e0 and\u00a0Livalone<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, by Francesc C\u00faellar, among others.<\/p>\n

Aside from the programme itself, Temporada Alta presents various new features such as the\u00a0Art\u00e8ria<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0group, and a renewal of the offer of parallel activities<\/strong><\/a>. Art\u00e8ria is and initiative aimed at the under 30s, offering them access to the theatre with discounts and other advantages in addition to participating in a programme designed for them. It includes four shows encompassed under the name #Art\u00e8riaProposa<\/em> which have been chosen based on the topics they deal with, their format or the genres. As regards the parallel activities, this year we tripled the offer and we approach the audience so they can tell us what they think of the shows, giving us their opinion so that can squeeze every last drop of enjoyment from the Festival.<\/p>\n
