Goethe\u2019s <strong><em data-start=\"2226\" data-end=\"2236\">Werther!<\/em><\/strong>, directed by German director <strong>Nicolas Stemann<\/strong>, <strong><em data-start=\"2283\" data-end=\"2304\">Ant\u00f3nio e Cle\u00f3patra<\/em><\/strong> by Portuguese artist <strong>Tiago Rodrigues<\/strong>, and <strong><em data-start=\"2347\" data-end=\"2355\">Acceso<\/em><\/strong>, by Chilean filmmaker <strong>Pablo Larra\u00edn<\/strong>. These are three productions by directors who, until now, had never performed in the country.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2487\" data-end=\"3038\"><strong><em data-start=\"2487\" data-end=\"2497\">Werther!<\/em><\/strong>, which will be seen for the first time in Spain, is the latest production by acclaimed German director Nicolas Stemann, in which he reclaims the figure of young Werther, the Romantic hero created by Goethe in the novel <em data-start=\"2717\" data-end=\"2747\">The Sorrows of Young Werther<\/em>. Austrian actor Philip Hochmair, who, like Stemann, is visiting the festival for the first time, will star in this highly personal staging. A monologue brought into the present day, in which the German director tests the amorous obsession of Goethe\u2019s Romanticism in the age of social media.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3040\" data-end=\"3600\"><strong><em data-start=\"3040\" data-end=\"3061\">Ant\u00f3nio e Cle\u00f3patra<\/em><\/strong> is another Spanish premiere. This time, the director is Tiago Rodrigues, a director, writer and actor at the forefront of the Portuguese stage, who is also making his festival debut. He will present a new creation based on Shakespeare\u2019s classic. Taking the transgressive spirit of the protagonists as its main reference, the piece speaks of the couple as the centre of all dichotomies, through the eyes of the performers, dancers and choreographers Sofia Dias and V\u00edctor Roriz. The Teatre de Salt will host this production on 26 November.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3602\" data-end=\"4109\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The final new addition to the international programme preview is the Catalan premiere of <strong><em data-start=\"3691\" data-end=\"3699\">Acceso<\/em><\/strong>, by Chilean Pablo Larra\u00edn. In this show, the renowned filmmaker \u2014winner of awards at Cannes and Berlin and nominated for an Oscar in 2013 for <em data-start=\"3842\" data-end=\"3846\">No<\/em>\u2014 makes the leap from the big screen to the stage to present a monologue about Sandokan, a man obsessed with gaining \u201caccess\u201d to society in order to stop being marginalised.
